Cardiometabolic risk nomogram in middle-aged women with a history of preeclampsia

Introduction: the nomogram is a useful and practical tool for the attending physician.
Objectives: to construct a cardiometabolic risk nomogram in middle-aged women with a history of preeclampsia.
Method: the research was carried out in two stages in a cohort of 179 women between the ages of 45 and 59 with a history of follow-up for ten years with pregnancies at risk of preeclampsia at the Mariana Grajales Gyneco-obstetric Hospital in Santa Clara, Villa Clara, on January from 2009 to December 2022. Statistical analysis was performed based on the different stages of the investigation and a predictive model for cardiometabolic risk was built. Before selecting the variables for the model, a bivariate analysis was performed with the variables created by the differences in the two moments, median age, and gestation follow-up. R software was used. Multivariate binary logistic regression was performed.
Results: the variables included in the equation were the intergenic period greater than 10 years, the increase in glycemia, triglycerides, body mass index and waist circumference. The risk nomogram and a predictive scale were constructed.
Conclusions: the risk nomogram is a tool for the evaluation of cardiometabolic risk in middle-aged women.
